Non-Flat or Regulat Tires ?
Another new owner question............Do you run non-flat or regular tires on your C6?.........How much tire pressure do you use?..........Tire recommendations are welcomed.
Thanks in advance, Steve

Tires, just depend on what you want. The standards for the the Vet for a summer performance tire is the michelin super sports, which can be had in both run flats or not.
Now the glitch, since the tires only hold there grip for about 4 years before the rubber starts to get hard and they need to be replaced over just tire wear, so weight how much you are gong to drive the car in 4 years, against what tires you are are going to get.
Hence if say you are only going to drive the car for 10K in 4 years, don't want a run flat, and more grip that the SS's are going to give, then R888's. The down side, the R888's can get scary in the rain.
As for tire pressure, this will you need to play with. Ideally, around 32psi with the tires stone cold is the norm. This will bring the tire pressures up to about 36psi when the tires get hot, and keep the sidewall deflection to a min for corning.

Thanks for the replies...........keep them coming. I used the search mode, but got info for all generations.. Do the run -flats handle as well as regular tires ? I have heard that the run-flats are louder too. Is that true ?
Thanks, Steve

Stoney Wide Oval NRF's here. Have a tire plug kit and compressor in trunk if (Hopefully never) needed. As with all the other threads about this issue, you're gonna get more opinions than you'll know what to do with. Good luck in trying to sort them all out !!

Run flats. The issue for me is that I insist on a flatbed tow, which can add 45 minutes or more to the wait for a tow truck.

Run flats are a much harder compound and stiffer tire, hence run flat. I drove my C5 home 700 miles with 11 year old OE run flats. 30 minutes into highway portion of the trip I was second guessing what I had just bought.
Once home I replaced the run flats and it was a totally different ride. The installer had me sit on one of the run flats after it removed from the rim, it barely moved. The non run flat I could collapse flat.
I keep a couple cans of fix-a-flat in the back just in case.

I have non-runflats, better ride, tire pressure set 30PSI cold, and belong to AAA Plus member.

Burning Brakes
The only downside that I've seen with them so far is poor traction at colder temperatures which shouldn't be an issue if you live in warmer climates and they are a performance summer tire. Running at 30 psi inflation.
When the car had the OEM Goodyear Eagle F1 tires on it the car didn't feel stable and had a tendency to wander and be pulled off course by ruts in the pavement. I had a major 4 wheel alignment done when the new Michelins were installed and it cured the problem.

You don't say what model you have. Fewer choices available if you have a wide body (GS, Z06, etc.). For instance, the R888 is not available in wide body sizes.
I run non-runflats at 30 psi cold.
