Way I see it is, while it may not be "collectible," you go to any car show, even a Corvette car show---chance of seeing another one? I'd say close to nil. That's a good thing.

Plus, it's very unique with the "homage" to Louis Chevrolet and being so subtle in its presentation. Very good find for you! Enjoy it!

NICE! Black wheels look like they belong.

Is that the one that came with a grasshopper?

Sent a PM.

Haha...no, that one did not work out. It was a very nice car, though.

As you know, I have never been a fan of black wheels. Now, I have to eat a little crow, because I think these wheels make the car look great.

Nice looking car. That color looks like the Black Granite Metallic paint I have on my other 2015 Chevy. It looks nice in the sun with the metallic sparkle.

I think you nailed it, ray. I have seen the Black Granite, and it is the same, or so close that very few people could tell it apart. In certain light, it appears to be Ebony...gloss black. In bright sun, it shows the metallic.

I was never a black wheel fan, nor a fan of blackout tails. But, on this car, they look amazing. I'm not a guy who thinks something is the best just because I bought it. Chevy knocked it out of the park when they did this one. And...black stripes on a black car? Who woulda thunk it could look good.

I'm a happy camper, for sure. Now, I just have to change the exhaust out, and add the Vararam CAI I bought a few months ago from a guy, and I will be set. Maybe....

CONGRATS!!! Back in September of 2016, I drove from Converse (San Antonio) to Las Vegas with my family in my DD. It was a nice ride but I always wanted to make that drive in a Vette! Sounds like fun times!

Nice find. IMHO that is one of the best looking special edition C6.

And another convert for black wheels.

The target for me was a 3LT, '10 or later, A6, in one of 3 colors, private party seller only, clean title, fewer than 70K miles, no mods, $26K or less.

I think I got a very good deal. 58K miles, bought from a private party, for $24,700, and it hit all the marks for me.

As an added bonus, I picked up a complete Z06 exhaust, from manifolds to NPP muffs, for $400.

You can call me cheap, thrifty, budget-minded...I own them all.

Ok, you saw right thru me LOL!

I would never ask you what you paid, none of my business but I do appreciate you (and others) posting numbers. I think that can only help all of us when buying or selling.

I am new to Corvette and I didn't even know your special edition existed, it is very sharp. I can also tell you that buying a vette like that around here for that price would be next to impossible unless you were in the right place at the right time and the owner needed to make a quick sale, either way congrats and enjoy!

Geography is more important when selling a non-standard car than most people realize. The seller had the car for sale for over a week, and only had calls from dealers 150 miles away who wanted to lowball him. I don't think there was a town within 100 miles that had more than 3,000 people, almost all of them related to farming/ranching, and largely "economically depressed". If he had been within 25 miles of Dallas or Houston, it would have been a different story.

Being retired and energetic gives me the flexibility to pursue things most people would not, not all of which end well.....haha. Thanks for the comments.
