Will CAI Really Make A Difference?
I have a 2008 Z51 LS3 with a Chuck Cow Tune/Boost and full Borla ATAK exhaust. I did not re-tune after the Borla. I'm thinking of adding the mamba cold air intake. Will it make any difference? Will it add any HP or change the sound at all? Will I have to get a re-tune after installing this?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I think that LS3 intakes flow fairly well to begin with. I think you will see gain and most likely during high speed pulls as air is forced in there and not just dyno sessions where air is mostly stagnant.

Don't use the Mamba.... I found it messes up the MAF signal.
Call me.

Chuck I know you are high on the Vararam. But I am hesitant to cut up my shroud. Are there any CAI you recommend that dont involve cutting the shroud?

A shroud is $40 if you get it new from GM......
When customers but the VARARAM from me, I send down a template cut from an actual car so you can't mess it up.
I prefer you use my template over the template they supply with the unit.
One rule that I always try to follow..... I make sure I always get the BEST I can..... It eliminates LOTS of problems.

Is the car and auto or stick?
If you're planning on coming here to do it in person It's actually cheaper.

Unless you have headwork, no it won' add any hp. It will add some sound though.
