LT1 Man

Is there ANY difference between the Tremec T56 and the TR6060 Manual Transmissions? Is one different from the other or are they both pretty much mechanically identical? And is one better than the other?? I know that after 1996, the last year of the C4 Corvette (My Favorite) (Stop reading for a second to give a moment of silence to the C4 Vette that it deserves) The T56 was used in C5 Corvettes until 2004, the end of C5 Corvettes (But it was still used in some Cars with LS Engines) and in 2005, the first Model Year of the C6 Corvette, the Tremec T56 was replaced by the TR6060.

Tremec stopped building the T56 in 2007 and was used in the Corvette until then. If you have a non Corvette 6 speed Tremec newer than that it's a TR6060 aka the Magnum. Tremec dropped the T56 part of the name due to confusion between the two. The Magnum is a TR6060 BUT the Magnum is designed for the aftermarket and is different externally than the TR6060 in the Corvette.
