2012 Grand Sport bought last year with 18K miles...I too had rusted bolt heads on the outer rail of the passenger seat. No other rust or sign of water intrusion was found. I chalked it up to a sloppy previous owner as I found evidence of a nasty spill/splash of some sort from the cup holder, down the console, to the floorboard and passenger door! The “make ready” crew got a C- grade on this one. I cleaned her for 8 hours the day we got her home.

Painted calipers became an option in 2012, available in four colors: silver(RPO J6C), gray(RPO J6D), yellow(RPO J6E), or red(RPO J6F). The Corvette Black Book says this was a "new option" for 2012.

I saw where the Z51 option was included into the Z16 pkg....I stand corrected and certainly apologize

Doesn't have the Mag-Ride because there's no dial in the center, just the traction-control button.
This is also a 1LT package from what I can see. The VIN has an "A". I'd say this is a base Corvette, otherwise it'd have a "U" for the 1LT.

Definitely not Z51 due to model year. If it isn't a wide body then it shouldn't have Z51 and Z16 on the sticker. Pennies look corroded which is not saying much.

I was responding to the following within this thread...
"This is also a 1LT package from what I can see. The VIN has an "A". I'd say this is a base Corvette, otherwise it'd have a "U" for the 1LT."
What I was getting at is that I always thought the 1LT was the minimum trim level for a Base Vette, not an option. In the above quote, it appears he is saying that the 1LT is an upgrade option for the Base model.
Is the 1LT an extra-cost option on the Base model?

No. it was the minimum trim level.... 2LT, 3LT, and 4LT were option packages priced accordingly...
This page..... http://www.c6registry.com/facts/2007.htm Shows the prices of the various option packages, the RPO codes, etc... Change the year in the URL to match the year of the car in question. It's not 100% complete, but there's lots of good info
Part of your confusion might also come from "base" model is also used a lot to differentiate a "regular... AKA base" model from a Grand Sport, a Z06, or a ZR1....
