lug nut locks...
Do you guys have any brand/style preference for lug nut locks? I don't have any on my wheels, and although I am not really concerned about theft, it would be one less thing to think about.
Other than GM originals, what do you guys use or recommend?

You can get ant of them off with a socket and a hammer.

Yup, they're all completely useless. Not that wheel theft is even a big thing anymore. Your cell phone is worth more, easier to steal, and easier to sell.
And reality is, it's way easier for thieves to steal the whole car and then have their time to pick it apart in a secured location. All they need is a halfton truck and some used towing equipment. In and out in 2 minutes.

well, I certainly don't need 20! I needed 4, and that is what I bought on ebay...$18, free shipping.
I have no worries at all about my car getting tampered with, but for the $, there is no reason not to do it. Yes, they can be defeated, but some insurance is better than none.

Absolutely correct,my family owns a tire service and they do it every day, locking lug nuts only slow thieves down, and if they really want your wheels they are gone.

Just don't lose the key. They come off quite easily but are destroyed in the process and you would then have to buy new ones. BTW, here's how to easily remove the Gorilla brand.
And if someone has a market for your wheels but doesn't want to risk damaging the wheel, the cost of a set of master keys is less than the cost of one wheel so...

After my bodyman showed me how easy any lock lug is to get off, I just avoid them where I can! They don't stop anyone but teenage punks!

This tool is pricy so it makes more sense to me to just buy the set of master keys if the simple driven on socket is going to be a problem. BTW, a chisel will take that ring off if the socket still slips after being driven on to collapse the ring.
