What year did the calipers come painted on a C6? (2012?) Did Z06 calipers come in Red

I know 2012 did, because my CE has factory red calipers. I am not sure if they were available before that. Yes, the Z06 could be had with red calipers, but not sure when.

The calipers on my 10 GS are silver but I've seen them in red.

I painted my GS calipers red also,with high heat paint.

Not shure how that is Germane to the OP Question -- but I painted my bicycle yellow when I was 13... with high gloss paint.

yes - 2012 was first year for option picking colors..

Silver , Grey , Yellow, and Red

Well...I painted a springer Schwinn bike blue and white. In 1955. I was 10. My dad, on the other hand, was pissed.

Could be wrong but you could order those colors as long as the cross drill rotor option was selected -- and i think you could do that on a Base Model..

07 Z06 I have came with red calipers. Also it has the cross drilled rotors.

I've never seen a base model C6 of any year with factory painted calipers. Not saying it's impossible but I've just never seen or heard of it.

Well, one exception, with a caveat, would be the car I just bought. 2012 Base Coupe with the CE option. The CE package included factory-painted rotors.

However, I understand what you are saying. In perusing the various C6 annual options lists, I have never seen a "stand-alone" option of painted calipers in a base model. To parrot you...doesn't mean it hasn't happened, but I can't recall seeing it offered as a separate option.

That CE is based on a GS, is it not? A GS isn't a base model.

No, sir. It is a base coupe. There were 172 base coupe CE's built. The numbers were much higher on the GS and Z06 models.

Whaaat??? "The 2012 Corvette Centennial Editions were in high demand with a total of 2,201 produced". That would be the ZLC Centennial Pkg.
But I may be mistaken...

Of course, it is calipers. I have heard of colored rotors, but only black. My calipers are red. There were no other choices on the package, as far as I understand.
