Dustin is a real asset to the Corvette community in the Reno area..a very technically competent individual, fair, and generally all around nice guy. Has a tremendous reputation with Reno Corvettes Club for all the right reasons. His shop is the "go to" location for performance and dyno jobs here.

Eh, no issue with adding wide body fenders or making the car look more aggressive through body panels. I wouldn't say "Buy a GS instead" but no need to add the GS badges, just black them out or put something else on the GS part.

:Isn't Grand Sport just an appearance package? I didn't think it improved power or handling. I could be wrong. However, if that is accurate then if the OP's modifications mimic that appearance successfully I don't have any real issue with the GS badges.
FWIW, I've heard it mentioned several times that stock vs stock a base car will outperform a GS (at least in 1/4 mile and/or 0-60 sprints).
****nevermind...I just realized the car in question is a 2005****
It does look really good!

You could be very wrong. Just for starters did you even know the GS is it's own model? Here's what seperates a Grand Sport from the base:

....but was I wrong about the base being quicker 0-60 and through the 1/4 mile than the GS?

From the forum 1/4 mile speeds...looks as though the base is quicker.

The Corvette heritage was road racing, not drag racing. These cars were no slouches in the curves.
