Can I replace the cupholder cover?
At age 11-1/2 Red's cupholder cover is showing its age and starting to split apart at the seams. Can this piece be replaced with a new one? Easily?

So you have to buy an entire center console (with ashtray assembly as well), or try to salvage the cover assmebly out of a junk yard center console isntead.
Stand corrected, since the sites I checked, only showed the entire center console for sale instead.

You can go on ebay, "or on here" and buy a whole radio bezel thats scratched or cracked for a cheap price and have all the extra parts for backup.. I bought one for $25.00 about a year ago on this forum just to get the ashtray with switches for heated seats..Now I have extra vents, cup holder, and all the buttons that come on the bezel as backups... WW.
Here's one for $100.00 shipped that has the cup holder and a shift boot in nice shape...WW

Thanks for the leads. I didn't know where to look in the parts lists for the cup holder itself. I now know that it has its own part number (GM 15838450) and it can be purchased (presumably new) for as little as $95.80.
I've scoured YouTube looking for a specific C6 cup holder replacement video. I wish I could narrow those searches to exclude Audi, Volvo, and even C5s. So much chaff. The closest I've been able to find was a video that showed how to remove the console on an M6 car without the F55 suspension. That doesn't look too terribly difficult, but Red is an A6 so removing the shifter **** would be different. Unfortunately the video shows removing the console but never shows its underside where the cup holder is actually mounted.
I don't suppose some kind soul has and could post a pic of the underside of the console showing the cupholder and its mounting. I'd hate to go through all the effort of removing mine only to find the thing is glued in and can't be removed.

Just use the center console removal instructions, the cup holder replacement will be obvious (I just did this during a shifter install). One of the screws is shared with the ashtray I think, but it's literally unscrew old assembly, screw in new assembly, re-install center console.

Just changed mine a couple weeks ago, bought a used one that looked new as mine had all split too.
Remove the console (instructions on this site)
There are 4philips head screws holding it on to the underside.
Took me 20 mins start to finish. But I have removed my center console many times.
