You are over thinking this. I towed a 3200# Sea Ray for six years with a Rav4 and had no problems at all launching, retrieving or towing.

And here is a pickup truck on a road course.

Safety Car
I also had a minivan (Dodge Caravan) that I used to drive on road courses. It was great for hauling 4 to 6 students around, showing them the line at various road courses back when I was actively instructing at HPDE events. That Caravan was pretty quick, too. Big stabilizer bars, Koni adjustable shocks, lowered a bit, on Yokohama AVS tires. I kind of miss that thing.
It's much more fun to drive a slow car (or truck or whatever) fast than it is to drive a fast car slow.

I pulled a 3500 lbs Ski Nautique 4 times a week (9 mile round trip) for 10 years with my 94 Firebird Formula. Replace clutch at 50k, kept car until 102,000 miles.
I then pulled one for 10 years with a 2004 Mustang Mach-1, again 4 times a week. Traded car for Jeep Grand Cherokee at 93000 miles, original clutch.
Never had any issues launching or recovering with either car. Traction on slippery ramps was excellent with the tires I used (Potenza).
I still have a Grand Cherokee, so no need to use Vette, but if I couldn't afford both, I have no doubt the Vette would be fine (another ski club member pulled his Mastercraft for years with his C5 manual Vette).

Being an avid boater and seeing so many AWD trucks on mud tires struggling sometimes to get their jetskis out of the water it's funny how people state that you'll be fine with a corvette. if you don't care about your car/safety - go for it. if you have at least some commons sense - get a beater SUV and use it to tow/launch your boat.

Since this question seems to have been asked tongue-in-cheek let me answer your question with another question - Can 350 Lb. woman wear a bikini (or to be PC - Can a 350 Lb. man wear a speedo) ?
The answer should be the same as to your original question- Yes ... But they shouldn't....
Aside from the fact that C4's C5's, C6's and C7's aren't rated for towing - and that most aftermarket hitches aren't really rated to handle more than about a 500 Lb. trailer (and when you see how the hitch is attached - you see exactly why the rating is so low) - there is that annoying little issue of the launch and the recovery of the boat. The Vette is going to have to get pretty far into the water to do either ... I've seen a friend with a 4WD V-8 Tundra have problems pulling his boat up a concrete ramp when the lake was pretty low, and the ramp was pretty slippery - he was in water that was darn near up to the diff housing... As he was starting to pull the boat out - all 4 wheels spun. No way any 2WD vehicle would have been able to pull that boat out...
Seriously - before you actually do any towing - read a few articles about how to set up the trailer, and how to tow. You typically want 10% or so of the trailers total weight to be on the tongue. Much less than that and the trailer is less stable. More than 10% is fine - as long as the tow vehicle can deal with the weight... Good mirrors are important and if at all possible - make sure the vehicle doing the towing has a trans cooler (and I don't mean the OEM cooler that sits in the radiator tank).

Thats because there just to many people that think it's OK to tow with them. Sure you can tow with them, but I wouldn't call it one of the best ideas with the reasons being too many to list here. But theres always gonna be someone that says..."Oh I do it all the time and have had no problems"......

That guy lives near me and I’ve seen him towing multiple times. It’s actually a single place trailer with a single sled. I had one once and used a dodge shadow to tow it. Good times.

Never mind the secondary full size pickup truck. For $500 you could buy a used Chrysler K car and tow your 1500lbs boat. I had one with a trailer hitch and Chrysler rated it in the owners manual to tow 2 thousand lbs (car only weighed 2300 lbs) Although it could be iffy sometimes on a slick boat ramp :-)

Towing part is fine and easy. The launching the boat part maybe the issue if you have to back 1/2 the car up into the lake, then try to get out with wet tires.
