Insurance question again
Been with Geico for years and naturally it keeps rising every 6 months and wondered if I could do better, considering that they make me take a defensive online test every 2 years($23.00 to do this) and get about $50.00 off but its a pain in the you no what.
Great driving record and have every imaginable deduction going. So just wondered if I should just cough up or have a go elsewhere?
2005 vette 6 months premium 1000 ded. $288.30
2013 SL550 same as above....................$514.90
Comments appreciated.

I have the Vette through corvette museum, $500 year. Geico for my Jeep at $1800 a year, but cant seem to find it cheaper anywhere else... ugh...
I'm 51 good driving record, good credit. Weird why its so much, maybe since my 22 year old stepson lives with us and my 17 year old daughter got her learners permit year and half ago.

I've had Geico for 12 years and it's never gone up at all. $1032/yr for both my 05 C6 and wife's 06 Volvo. Full coverage $100 deductible for both. I have my Vette set for Pleasure/Leisure low mileage use and got a huge deduction for that. We're both 57yo with clean driving records.

geico did that to me in the past with rate increases, i've had allstate when i bought the vette. they wanted 600 alone for that. i switched back to geico. 3 cars including vette 1200 a year. 500 a year through hagerty for my camaro

You have a problem paying $576 a year for your Corvette with full coverage? I think that's very reasonable...unless I'm not understanding something. And the 550, I'm guessing it's a $40-$50K car, a little over $1K a year? Looks fair to me...

Call an independent insurance agent with multiple companies to pick from and ask them this question.....no one here can answer your question.

Call a State Farm agent. Around here they're cheaper than most.

Geico keeps bumping mine up every 6 months as well. Mine renews next month & I see they just bumped it up another $120/year. For a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander SEL, 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Back Country & my 2012 Grand Sport we pay $2500/ yr.
Granted my wife did total her previous 2016 Wrangler Unlimited in March 2016 & they increased our rates 2 months ago because she got rearended at a red light by a woman who was texting & didn’t stop. Their explanation was any accident is part of your driving record regardless of fault - which is BS in my opinion.

Try The Hartford thru AARP. They have my insurance. Good price and they really stepped up to the plate when my car was totaled a few years ago. Gave me more that I expected to get back on it.

I just ran a quote through the National Corvette Museum Insurance for my '12 GS and was quoted $818/year for $0 deductible and unlimited miles and agreed upon value of $40,000 - that's less than 1/2 of what Geico was charging with a $500 deductible - same coverages.

I'm an insurance agent here in Pa with AAA. I only pay just under $1,200 a year for full coverage on my 07 Corvette convert, 12 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 00 Porsche Boxster. AAA, Donegal have great rates now.

I have Country Financial on the vette and two other daily drivers. They all three have gone up about $100/6 months the last 2 years. When it first went up I called the agent and he said it was due to cell phone distracted driving and was across the board for all insurance companies. Mine is in the ballpark of yours.

I've got mine through Safeco but most of our carriers will take a Vette if you're over 25 with a clean driving record. I pay just under 500 a year for just the Vette.

Lots of different factors determine your rate. Shop around or call an Independent Agent.
