C6 Convertible Top Question.........
Spring is here in Georgia and Im looking forward to lots of drives with the top down.............One thing Im not sure of on the C6 motorized top is what secures/seals and unlocks the back bottom (under the window} portion of the top to the rear deck? Is it magnetic? Theres a black rubber strip on the deck, but no hinges, locks or clamps to secure the top..........Thanks in advance.

Safety Car
Pressure from the top mechanism, I know it seems strange but mine has never leaked.

I've been through car washes and nary a drop makes it in the car. I'd hate to get my fingers caught under it....
But here's my question. When you turn the top release handle, should the top completely release or should you have to physically push up on the roof to unsecure it? Seems odd to have to push up on it considering the price of these toys...

Yes, it's perfectly normal. You have to push it up to start it while holding the button to lower it.

You have to push up after turning the release handle. It's in the owner's manual. No big deal. At least the windows go down automatically. I agree you shouldn't have to do it on an expensive car. I don't have to with my less expensive and older Trans Am. Not even the Ford!!
