Same thing here when I purchased my 06. Go to dealer with title and they will get key codes and cut you a key if they have one. Dealer I went to charged me $25 to look up codes and $25 for the key. Went to a different dealer and got another key cut for $15. I wanted genuine GM keys. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I had a key blank and Joe Van Horn , The dealer in Plymouth Wi. cut it for free works perfectly
