If a whine from the transmission area, I would check the fluid levels before driving it much further.

Okay where should the oil level be when it's hot and I'm assuming the transmission oil should be relatively warm to get an accurate reading and that should be on the full line am I right

Car needs to be level and on a lift. Fluid should be all the way up to the fill hole. Reach in with your finger to check.
Not sure what your whine sounds like, but the tranny can sound like a PD blower, if not properly lubricated.

I have the same problem. It's the power steering pump on mine. I've had the fluid flushed & replaced, which helped for about 6 months. But it has come back.

I have a similar problem, wife starts to whine when cold. I just leave her home and the whining stops
