What do you have to say about this?

Sobering Statistics Concerning Vietnam Vets As of April 2016
"Of the 2,709,918 Americans who served in Vietnam, Less than 850,000 are estimated to be alive today, with the youngest American Vietnam veteran's age approximated to be 60 years old."

So I missed his age by 2 years. ERA and INCOUNTRY are 2 different things to some of us.

I just edited my comment to include; the statistic I quoted was compiled April 2016. So that would be 62 today.

The last sentence reminds me of '63 split-window 4sp fuelie cars...there are more around today than ever built,
"The best estimate that the Department of Defense can conclude is that between 2,709,918 to 3,173,845 GI's served in-country and in-waters Vietnam between 1954 and 1975. However, veterans groups estimate that today approximately 9 to 12 million Americans fraudulently claim they served in Vietnam.

Good point. But if your weren't INCOUNTRY you do not know what it was like.

No point in getting in a fight with a keyboard war hero. Been building up cars for over 20 years so yeah I guess I can change at tire or two.

It's bad enough criticizing and making fun of someone for something they want to do to their Corvette, but I hope you aren't questioning the OP's service.

I see many pictures of Corvettes on the forum that owners are proud of. I would never want mine to look like theirs but I just keep my mouth shut. It's more accurate to say--- keep my fingers off the key board.

I love you self anointed superior intellectuals. This forum has an abundance of them. Many of you definitely seem to engage in group think, the clique mentality which is completely unlike the Harley world I have been, and continue to be a part of for the last 40 years. You little kiddies seem to have your own version of "political correctness" and I honestly think it fits so many of you. Individuality doesn't seem to be in abundance here.

Please inform me what else you "vette owners" know that is best for everybody else? I need a good laugh.

Teacher huh? Can't actually do, but tell others how to do it....gotcha sparkles. There is a reason why the education system in America has gone to hell, go look in the mirror and you can see why.

Isn't it time for you to go dust your car in your man cave?
There's nothing I can add to what you said except it is very accurate.

Happy to help (as a vette owner and a teacher). Most students learn about the law of supply and demand around .... middle school? High school and college too, but its a fairly simple concept.

If a lot of people want X, producers of X will increase in number and often, so will the price of X.

If very few people are interested in X, unless producers enjoy offering products that won't be sold, very few of X will be produced.

For your example, X is a non-functional "wing" producers hope you will bolt on the back of a car designed to function perfectly without one.

Hope that helps you out,

Yours affectionately, Sparkles
