You have to be willing to park your car and sit there for 4 hours instead of driving it

In ct we do not screw around if you go super street your car under body ,hood are and inside better look like a new babys butt. Got refusedf at a car show in 93 and car was detail by dealer. The guy taking the money said your not showing this car is this a joke you will never receive a trophy! You better put your heart in to it because some times they trailer there car to the show and park the trailerdown the street so you can not see it. My 93 was cleaner than most dentist offices and still is!

Often times there is an age limit on the car. Read all the fine print. Once in awhile you'll find a show that says something like..... "No automobiles newer than 1969" Obviously and "All Corvette" show won't say that. Read the whole entry form and then decide if you want to sit there all day or not. Sometimes I've had fun. Sometimes not so much. I never go wishing for, hoping for or praying for a trophy. But that's just me.

Have been doing car shows for years and most shows don't have requirements; as other's have stated, simply fill out the registration form and pay the entry fee. If there are any specific requirements they will be listed in the ad and/or entry form for the show. Although I've won a few trophies over the years, I primarily enter them to have fun and enter act with other car/bike enthusiasts ... detail your car and go and have some fun

we judge them according to classes by generation, and think of it as a "beauty contest".............. clean is good.. dirty not so much so...
we have a band that plays, food vendors, and setting is in an Old English Village with small shops which also interest some of the attendees........ best to socialize, meet new people and discuss the common denominator......... Corvettes
don't overthink it............ go and enjoy yourself and have fun......

these two pretty much sum up the requirements our club show has....................

I love Hot August Nights; have gone several times. Have never entered a vehicle, but have had great times spending days and nights talking with other car enthusiasts, checking out all the cars, getting ideas for my vehicles and listening to some good music. Going to try and go again this year.
