Well yes there absolutely is a "Best" color for automobiles. Sure we all want to try and sound diplomatic and call color choices a simple matter of opinion, but unfortunately it's not that simple. Most vehicles will have one particular color that looks better (regardless of opinion) than the others. Almost always, and Corvettes definitely fall into this category....Black is the most appealing looking color when all shined up. When one takes a black car/truck and puts it side by side next to any other color....the black looks the best....unless of course any particular person happens to own the other color......
All Corvettes are born red. Unfortunately, somewhere between the end of the assembly line and the showroom they catch a virus. Unfortunately, once they catch that virus the cure can be very expensive and so you are stuck with whatever color the virus may have caused. My current Vette caught the La Mans Blue virus.

Understood. And my current Vette came with the "born on" color of red. But i'm not so bias and in denial to admit that while red is the second best color for a Corvette, or any sports car for that matter....Black is still king. A black Astin Martin Vanquish is simply the finest looking car ever made.....

Mine also caught that LeMans Blue virus. But I'm OK living with it.
Inferno Orange followed very closely by JSB. Both colors look absolutely amazing in the sun. I love how the shade of blue on JSB changes depending on the light as well.

You know, when I first looked at purchasing a C6, Red was the color that I googled online at the sites that sold Corvettes. My next was Black, followed by White.
I then Saw this beauty, and fell in lust.
I mean, VY is the fastest color by far, just ask the GTLM Corvette race drivers. They could of picked any color, but they chose yellow

DSOM as it was my first Vette and I looked really hard to find a C7 in my price range with the option I wanted before I bought my GS. Next would be IOM as it was my first Camaro and I would trade my CRM GS in a heart beat for a similar equipped GS in IOM.
