My first Corvette (C4) was White. It was very practical at the time as I was working in Arizona.
My second Corvette (C5) was a deep metal flake Green. I loved the color but someone recently told me that was a one-year color. I was living in Florida. The top and the interior were a tan.
My third Corvette (C6) is a velocity yellow. I didn't think I was a "yellow car guy" but the car is spectacular and the color grew on me a lot.
My forth Corvette (C6) is a crystal red. Wasn't really about a red car but the car is spectacular and I am now loving the color.
Guess I'm saying that I love the Vette so much that color is not an issue...or least it has not been. There are probably a few colors I would not like but then again, if the car is spectacular.....
Would you eliminate a particular color if you are car shopping? Regardless of how nice the car is?
If I were buying the C7, I'd go that gray color that they have. I saw one once and thought it less than ugly which I can't say for some colors such as black. It beats me why anybody buys a black car. They look like a melted glob of tar running down the road to me.
I only buy BLACK vehicles because it's the bad azz color and looks amazing!!
Years ago I had a black car and I have had two black motorcycles. Vehicles looked great when clean but no matter how much wax they had on them, they looked awful after driving/ riding them in the rain. I thought black to be difficult. Howeve,r they do look smoking hot when clean.
1961 - dark gray (similar to C6 Cyber Gray)
1964 - this car went from OD green (painted with a brush) when I bought it to Cinnamon Firemist (Cadillac color) and finally restored to original color of Silver Blue.
1971 - Nevada Silver. After 10 years I painted it Dark Red Metallic (1986 Corvette color)
1993 - Polo Green.
1996 - Polo Green.
2000 - Dark Bowling Green Metallic
2010 - Cyber Gray.

My “melted glob of tar” black on black ZO6/ZO7, carbon fiber package 2011 is one heck of a good looking glob of tar.........
Mines victory red. But i'm not to bias or in denial to admit that Black is the best color for a C-6....or really any car/truck for that matter. Not sure where all this black is harder to keep clean stuff comes from. It's no harder than any other color. It just shows the dirt more....

We were talking about color choices and I said "i'm pretty much open to anything... the only choice I have never and would never consider is black". Of course he asked "why?" and this is my standard answer: I like to see the shape of a car, the lines, the accent pieces, all of it. Black is camouflage for these things, it hides them day and night. Same could be said for a very bright white but black is much worse.
Anyone else ever had this thought? Just curious.

Well now i'm confused. I always thought that black was world famous for showing absolutely every curve.....line.....dent.....ripple.....e tc....etc. more than any other color. Thus why it is so notorious for being difficult to "Get Right" in the body shops......
