Default Sparco seats fitted on oem rails

hi all, I’ve fitted my Sparco seats to the electric rails so managed to plug everything back in but the airbag, therefore the lights on.
I did see here a while ago someone mention I can simply put a resistor in but can’t find the thread or resistor size.
Has anyone got this information please?
i know there’s companies that sell the plug but a resistor is so much cheaper 😜

Taking a wild guess this might work. Could you provide a little more info about mounting those seats? Do the sides rub against the center console? Does the sides hit the door cards in any way? Was those seats a direct bolt-on to the electric rails or any modifications needed?

Thanks for the link. That’s pretty much the whole plug system and I’m after just airbag as I’ve replugged everything else in. I’m sure you can just fit a resistor between the 2 wires but can’t remember resister size.

With the seats eats I just bought some side mounts with a wide base section and it was pretty much straight bolt onto the standard rails. You do have to remove the oem lower seat cushion to get to the rail but it’s pretty simple.
Ghe seats are a very snug fit as they are the wide version but still fit.

I always wanted to just mount after market seats on the OEM power rails.

I imagine the stock seat belts still are capable of easy use?

Cool mod..

Yes when I finish mounting the seats I’m going to feed the belts through the side holes so the belts sit over my lap as usual as the seat sides are high

I believe it's the 3.3K Ohms resistor you're looking for. Was there any rubbing against the center console or door cards?

Thanks.
Ghe seats do touch the centre console. I think narrower seats would be fine

Vetteworks for a clean look.... but still a lot of money for what amounts to a resistor and a connector.

Hi guys today I cut the wires and connected a resistor, no luck though.
Any reason why this wouldn’t work?
would anything else trigger the airbag light apart from the yellow connector?

Could it be this? (Taken from the Vetteworks site)

The passenger side has a occupancy detection circuit that is tied into the SIR circuit. The bladder for this will have to be removed from the OEM seat and added to the aftermarket seat.

I did see that but surely that would pick up if seat belt was attached due to someone being in the seat.
Not an airbag issue

As I recall, it's separate from the seat belt. It's there to prevent airbag deployment if someone under a certain weight is in the seat. An example would be a rear facing baby seat in the passenger seat. The airbag is not supposed to deploy

Does anyone have a picture of instructions on what/how to move it over

If I think about it when I get home, I will take a look. I have the service manuals and 2 power/airbag seats from a 2007 in my attic.

I'm pretty sure it is that module with the white sticker on it. The second picture shows a closer view with a hose connected to a small plastic piece that goes into the bottom of the seat cushion.

But of an update, although not a great one.
I’ve now connected everything (except obviously the airbag which has the resistor) but the airbag light is still on.
Can anyone confirm if the resistors I’m using should work?

Nice work!

I'm looking into Sparco's for my C6Z and can hopefully replicate your success thus far!

Are you selling the oem air compressors that were mounted under the stock seats?

I So want to do this..

If you ever get a chance and have the business and part that you ordered the aftermarket bracket to work with the stock Oem frame rails that would be much appreciated.

I hope you are enjoying your fine efforts and look forward to your timely response giving so many other corvette owners a path to follow.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.

I thought I read that the correct resistor was 3 ohm but I may be wrong, no personal experience
