Default Help- Power top won’t operate.

My power top on my 2007 won’t operate at all. It’s in the down position and when I press to ‘top up’ button nothing happens. No warning in indication on th DIC or any fault indication. I checked the fuses they all were fine. I didn’t know how to check the 4 pin one .

I was able to manually close it, but it’s inoperable. Any help would be appreciated.

Check the partition in the trunk. if it has popped lose even a little it may have triggered the switch to stop. take it lose and put it back up and make sure it is secure

Oops I should have mentioned that I did check that. It’s happened to me before. I’m pretty sure I got a message in DIC when that occurred, but I did check and reattach the divider panel. No luck.

Also, if you've had the battery disconnected you will need to reindex the windows. The top will not operate until you do.

OK, don't bite my head off, I'm going to ask the obvious....
Did you unlatch the front and push UP before hitting the button?

I concur and had the same problem a little while ago. Try re-indexing the windows as this will more than likely solve your problem if you haven't already tried this.

This is the one issue that will prevent the top from working and not give you any kind of DIC warning at all.

Default Problem Solved

It was the window indexing. I had had the battery disconnected while working on my HU and hadn’t re-indexed the windows. Ever knew that would effect the top operation. You learn something new every day. Thanks to alll who replied. This forum rocks!!
