I can't help you with a shop recommendation, but are you sure that's what is leaking? How many miles on the car? Unless I've been missing something, that isn't a common problem.

Im not 100% sure thats the prob, but its leaking pretty good between the bell housing and the engine. I cleaned the crap out if it and watched it while it ran. It was all clear until I shut it off after 10-15 minutes of running then it started leaking at the bottom of the bell housing. The car has ~95K on it.

Some LS3 blocks have been made with porous aluminum around the real main seal area. Under high oil pressure, the oil weeps through the aluminum itself instead of the real main seal.

My LS3 block had this unfortunate flaw, but the fix is to use an aluminum epoxy/or a good rtv in key areas of porosity on it to seal it up. Have not had a leak from it for 6+ years.

The pan gasket at the rear where it meets the block and rear cover, has also been known to leak. Tighten the pan bolts to 18 ft # except the two that go into the rear cover and front cover, those are 106 in #.
Then clean the whole area. Run the engine a bit to see if it still leaks. If so, clean and let dry and smear some rtv at the above mentioned joint.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I have tried tightening the pan bolts, cleaned all areas, and it still leaks from inside the bell housing. I'm at a point I need someone to look at it. That's why I'm trying to find a reputable shop here in Colorado.

Quick update - I got a recommendation from a friend who had a supercharger put on his C7 at this company, RMCR (Rocky Mountain Competetive Research) I'm scheduled in the next 2 weeks to have them look at the seal and possibly replace the clutch. I'll report back on the outcome and recommendation. Heres their website: http://www.rmcrperformance.com/

So finally got the car back after being in the shop for 2 weeks. The problem was the oil pan was leaking at the back of the motor. I had tried to tighten the 2 bolts that were exposed, but it needed more than that. They ended up removing the pan and re-sealing everything. They did good work, but the initial time frame was 2 days! That ended up being 2 weeks, and I had to constantly call for updates. Good news is, it's not leaking anymore!

Thats great to hear that they got you taken care of? What was the charge for something like that? I'm a new C6 owner in the Denver area looking for a reputable shop for future Corvette maintenance

Sorry for the slow response! Just saw this! It was just shy of $1000. I would recommend them, just don't be in a hurry!
