Do you drive your car?

I just purchased mine and registered it on Friday and have driven it every day since then, except for yesterday since it was snowing. I'll probably drive it a lot this summer since it's new and exciting. I'm guessing it will also be cheaper to maintain than my 335i.

So my question is why do people buy these cars and then not want to drive them? I understand taking great care of them and keeping them clean etc,or moding them, but they really aren't investment cars and aren't going to gain value no matter how little you drive them. They may keep their value a little better, but not more than a couple of thousand dollars over 10 years.
mst be a mental illness like hoarding. I dnot get it either
Its just a car, period.

Whatever floats (or sinks) your boat.
I do hope that C7 owners sit and look at them so my next Vette will be low mileage.

But I don't give a crap about the juvenile ramblings of the self-appointed gatekeepers of who is or isn't a real Corvette owner.

I daily drive my 15 C7 Z51 car EVERYDAY...Now I will say I do have an actual "Daily" which is a 2009 E63 AMG but just isnt near as fun to drive as my Z51 car. Sounds good and is quick, def more comfortable, but usually I drive that when the wifey rides with me because for some "odd reason" she cant stand how loud the Corvette is LMAO haha I def know how to get my alone time with my car....Throw some headers on it and 99 times out of 100 your wife/girlfriend will think the car is obnoxiously TOO LOUD Try it! Def works! Or atleast it does for me!

Well then, you're not a real Corvette owner. Don't feel bad, I'm not either. If I remember correctly, I believe the threshold of being "in the club" is you must drive a minimum of 10k miles per year.

I get the not daily-ing - its impractical, you worry about getting door dings, parking the corvette sucks, gas mileage isnt great.
BUT I daily drive mine because I can, I like driving it, and to me its just a car. A car I really like, but a car.

I bought my '07 to drive and take it out rain or shine - about 30K per year.
But I do understand how some folks might think of driving their Corvette as a 'treat'.
Something to be enjoyed only occasionally.
I have a modified '80 Vette that falls into this category. I probably won't rack up 10K miles on it ever.

My Corvette is not a garage queen and none of my guns are safe queens. I bought my Corvette to drive. I even drive it in the rain and I park it as close to the door in a parking lot as possible. I have bought several collector guns and then take them to the range and shoot them. If you buy a car and don't drive it or you park at the far end of the parking lot across three spaces, it tells me you can't afford the car.

I guess that includes me too as I haven't hit 10k in a year yet, and don't expect to anytime soon. My question is, if I'm not a real Corvette owner, then why is there a Corvette in my garage, and what the hell is that big car payment I'm making every month, not to mention the insurance on a second car?
I was at my agent's yesterday regarding my wrecked truck, and she did mention something about my "other" vehicle, a 2007 Corvette.
Well at least she thought I'm a "real Corvette owner." But I told her I never drive it, so she wondered why I have insurance on it.
I had no answer. I'm so confused!!

How a person drives or treats their car has nothing to do with whether they can afford it or not. These are two mutually exclusive concepts. Jay Leno, a very famous car collector, has more money than he can spend, but I bet he doesn't put more than a few hundred miles on his Corvettes in an entire year, if that.
