Price quote on new michelins
Hello forum members,
Time for new shoes for my 05 base w/z51 pkg (22000 mil).
After much debate and reviews, run flats or non run flats I've decided to go with the michelin pilot sport a/s 3 plus non run flats.
Went to a local tire shop where the car has been worked on before (no problems) for a quote.
Fronts 245/40ZR18XL $200.27 each (2) $400.54
Rear 285/35ZR19XL $297.00 each (2) $594.00
With mounting & road force balance & Md. State tax $83.35 it worked out to be $1229.05. I will be adding to this total with an alignment and new tpms installed and the relearn. Any comments, opinions, suggestions ect. ect. ect. on how I did are welcome. Thank's to everyone, Smitsd.

Check the Chevy dealers in your area.
Found one who would price match and give a free front end alignment.
I showed them a quote from Sam's Club.

Overall, it’s a fair price. I just went through this with my 22k ‘07. After much debate I went with the as3 run flats. The alignment and the new shoes made a great difference. These run flats are much better than the original tires.

New Michelins, TPMS & alignment puts things several hundred higher.
If you're happy, and why not? I'm happy.
Car's set to roll, new Michelins, doesn't get any better w/ C6.
Be happy it isn't a widebody. Whole new $ discussion, here.

I got the same tire in the run flat from Tire Rack and had them shipped to my local dealer, who installed them and did the front end alignment. I'm happy with them so far.

While not a/s I put the Pilot Sport 4s on mine (z06) and absolutely love them. The grip is ridiculous and I would highly recommend them. I think it was about $1500 after tax/mount/balance. I think you did really good at the price you got quoted for the tires you got.

I just bought the the same in the run flat only in GS tire sizes (275/35r18 and 325/30r19) for 1330 minus a 70 dollar rebate ,total out the door 1260. Discount tire.

Just bought these very tires from Costco in Feb. 2 fronts were $439.98. 2 rear were $601.98, installed. Costco hand-tightened with a torque wrench, not a pneumatic wrench, which can warp rotors. Nitrogen filled. Lifetime balance & rotate, but can't rotate because of different sizes. Very impressed with overall experience & price. Car was ready in about 2 hours. No issues with tires not balanced correctly. Michelin states the pressure for these is 30 PSI. Manual says 33. I leave @ 30. Just completed a 900-mile road trip from Texas to Colorado & had no problems with tires. Bought @ the Costco in Austin TX before I moved to CO. The closest Costco to where I live now is over 100 miles away. I was surprised @ how comfortable the seats were after 10-hour days of driving for 2 days. Also got over 28 MPG in one stretch.

I always shop around and buy my tires online and then take them to a shop for installation. I have never found any sort of car or motorcycle shop that can compete with online pricing for tire sales.

You are aware that the the A/S are all season tires, and do not have near the grip of the new Pilot Sport 4s tires isntead.
Truth is, if you're just going to throw all season tires on the car, then you can find a hell of lot cheaper/better than the Michelin brand isntead.

I just paid about $1300 for Continental Extreme contact sport non run flats but they are for a wide body C6 in 19 & 20" sizes. It's a great tire as well. Smooth quiet ride but I don't know if they have them in base C6 sizes.
