Default Squealing under acceleration?

Whenever I'm on the road and I accelerate I hear squealing or chirping from the front of the car whenever i push on the accelerater. The harmonic balancer, serpentine belt have been replaced I took off the AC belt but I still hear the noise my wife says she hears it from the back... any thoughts???

How long ago was the HB replaced? I’ve heard of OEM replacement balancers going bad as quickly as the original. Was an aftermarket balancer installed? Many are much better than the GM OEM’s.

It's the slp 25% I put the car in park and stepped on the accelerater and no noise I think it might be a bearing

Squirt some belt dressing on the belt and see what happens.

I'm no mechanic but to me squealing usually comes from something like a slipping belt. How's your tensioner?

If it's not the belt, there are a couple of idler pulleys that might have a bearing making noise under load/acceleration....

Doesn't the underdrive balancer have a smaller diameter? When you replaced the belt, would the stock belt still fit, or would you need one that was shorter to maintain proper tension? Just asking.

Check the idler and the tensioner. Remove the belt and spin them by hand. Most times if they are bad you will be able to feel and/or hear it. Had them where they would only make a noise under acceleration, or certain rpm range.

I use the wooden handle of my squweegee, great stythoscope, just go around at the closest hard points to the pulleys etc, you will know which is the screamer.

The tensioner needs to be closer to the tighter (upper position) than the lower position.
