To the artistic minded
Our 2011 GS is Arctic white, ALL Arctic white and it's just too much WHITE. We had our Harley Roadglide custom painted a few years ago with Orange accent stripes with black pin striping and it is an immediate attention grabber, especially in a world where damn near every bike is black.
I need some ideas from those who are artistically gifted. We want to follow the same color scheme as we have on the HD, but not sure how to get the orange & black in subtle yet striking way. We are thinking about a wrap style striping instead of paint because I hate sanding!
Please, no bullshit comments, save those for your wife or your buddies when you crush beer cans on your foreheads. Bike pix is below.

Here is where I would start ...
3M vinyl stripes on the hood only ... here is the design:

You could color the cove sections that extend back through the doors on the side of the body an orange color and have it fade into white the further back it goes.

Orange outside mirrors, brake and hood ducts in orange, the fender badges painted white with orange lettering and if you have side skirts and splitter, a pin stripe on their lower edge...

You could stripe it out like a 68 Camaro that had white with orange racing stripes back in the day. Sorry I don't have a picture handy. Of course to completely duplicate that look Corvette style, it would also need an orange colored interior to go with it.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
As mentioned, I too would start with tape or wrap as opposed to paint to test design.
I've seen OEM striping kit in orange on white.
Looks good to me.
Caliper, hash stripes, hood roof deck lid bumper stripes in orange.
I've never seen just a pinstripe.
Have fun designing.

I have a Carlisle Blue GS with black interior with blue stitching. One color combination I like is the Gulf racing colors of powder blue and orange. I often though about changing where I have blue to orange.
White and orange would be another great combination

I would agree with that but assuming a black interior, I would go with orange powder coated calipers and would orange stitch the interior.

That's my thought as well. I would go full length stripes vs the hash marks. I just like that look of the full length. Orange can be tough to match so I would grab the stripes first and match the calipers after.
I have a blue ultra classic motorcycle. I was picking out a color for the pinstriping. I like blue and orange but it looked too much like colors for the Broncos football team so I went a different direction.

Not a fan of stripes but...
this:
or this with orange hash marks and no side stripes:
Either one with orange calipers and orange lettering on the GS badges. Perhaps orange vinyl covering the flag emblems front and rear. Less is more.

My vette had the cashmere/black as well. I didn't care for the Victory Red accents with the cashmere so changed out all the cashmere.
I'm not sure I would care for the orange and cashmere look. Being a vert, it's difficult to separate exterior/interior. I suppose depending on the hue, it could work.
