Why no aftermarket headlights?

No thanks a fan...
I never really liked the headlights of my c6 but I tolerated it as one aspect of the car I didn't really like..
This new bulb solution looks out of place...the shape of the led is wrong
Should have followed the curve of the headlight housing or something...
I'm leaving my mint lenses alone but if I ever needed to replace I've seen a vendor here selling tint impregnated lenses and that resolves the issue of the weird three bulbs inside the headlights...
I understand it was a era thing and even ferraris 360 ran a similiar headlight design inside the housing...
It's not a big deal although I agree it was never appealing to many of us ....even those of us who bought the c6...
Too bad the headlights don't accept a simple tint without crazing...
I would have tried that first.

From Morimoto Facebook page:
"The C6 Corvette is undeniably an awesome car, and we think the platform deserves awesome headlights to match.
These XB LED headlights that are currently in development are based off of the OEM C7 design, and will utilize modern Bi-LED optics."
I am looking forward to seeing the finished product.

With electronics as they are these days hopefully the headlights contain a module so you can program the DRL and turn signal much like the motorcycle lights.

These days if there is an LED headlight being built, it's most definitely going to be Made in Taiwan or China. We've been selling direct duplicates of the OEM headlights for BMW F30 (3-series) and F10 (5-series) for 2+ years now. And while they have had their fair share of hiccups, they are amazing headlights.
But let's compare what "might" be with what actually will be.
OE headlights used to cost $900 a side? LED headlights are no different.
You already have headlights, so you can easily retrofit a better projector into your lights while changing your lenses (with our Zen6 lenses of course) for about $200 (including lenses and projectors) roughly. So, would you really spend $1400 more to get a unique headlight? Perhaps ...but not that many of you would.
BTW - here's our F10 LED headlight with Osram LED. Take the time to compare it with the OEM headlight

My low beams are okay. It's the high beam offerings that come up short. They are no brighter than the OEM, just whiter.

Chinese copies?
The OEM C-6 headlight assemblies are pricey. Yeah. As soon as replacements are needed in volume the Chinese will step up with their price cutter version. Not aware of any patent or copyright thing. I will say that my OEM C-6 low beam cutoff pattern is excellent.

ATTENTION: Radioflyer Innovations will be getting a prototype of these lights in June for testing. I will be running a GP for these lights once they have been tested and installed on the test vehicle.

Hopefully you post the results of your tests vs the stock HID lights! High quality videos would be best!

Absolutely. Since the test car has our D2S 55w conversion and LED high beams, it won't be a fair comparison to stock, but I"m sure I can find a Willing C6 driver in the area to allow for a side-by-side comparison.

Funny, I was just uploading two quick videos of my LED conversions. My Radio Flyer HID upgrade should be here Friday, as well as my new yellow LED fogs.
Not sure why the videos aren't working, but here are the direct links:
