Exhaust Tip Polish Results!!! - Mother's Vs. Diamond Bright
Hi guys - My Corsa XTreme exhaust tips were absolutely BLACK after several years of use and NO CLEANING!! UGH!
I then tried two products, Mother's polish (a paste) and Diamond Bright (liquid). Both did great...
Here's a video of the process and results of each! Hope this helps.

Good video. But not sure why guys don't just polish the exhaust every time you wash the car? That's what I do and they don't ever get black. Dirty? Sure. But only takes about 5-10 minutes to polish them up looking like new if you do it often.

Actually I polish mine maybe 3 times a year. But every time I drive the car, when I park it, I get a damp paper towel with a little wondex it it. Wipe the exterior and inner ring of the exhaust. They always shine and it takes less than a minute to do.

Use the Mothers with the red foam Mothers Power Ball on a cordless drill for neglected tips. It easily cleans and polishes the inside lip. I then use Flitz paste in a tube to keep it shined up after each wash.

I used to when I had my C5, but my C6 with the NPP exhaust makes it impossible to keep clean. If I drive half a block to the corner store with completely clean tips, by the time I make it back the tips are black on the inside. Now I just clean it every so often to prevent buildup.

The Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish paste does work great on exhaust tips.
Tip: If the inside of your tips are really black and dirty, the fastest way to clean them is with 0000 fine steel wool ... then you can finish up with the metal polish

My C6 tips never get neglected.
Kind weird the OP giving car detailing videos and having his, I assume, C6 tips so neglected.
Maybe he let them go for the video, but it would have to of been lof a long time to need a polish vs a wipe off.
just thinking....

Tbh I never thought about polishing the exhaust tips. Will have to think about it. I use Turtle Wax chrome polish on my wheels, would use the same on the tips. Works as good or better than anything I ever tried, been using it since the 60s.
