Default Exhaust installation in NC

Purchased a Borla S-Type II a few weeks back. I do not have a way to install it myself. I have called several places in Raleigh that quoted me anywhere from $150-200, which I feel is overpriced.

Anyone in Nc who had someone install their's, which shop did you take it to? Thanks!

I don't know if you have had this installed yet but integrated auto in Sanford is working on my car now and their prices seem pretty good

$150-200 is basically 1-1/2 to 2 hours of labor, which is a reasonable price for an exhaust install. Most shops have a one hour minimum, and the charge rate based on expected time to completion for this job appears to be just above that minimum.

Thanks for the replies. I actually have an appointment scheduled in Raleigh today. They are charging in the $150-200 range, like you mentioned.

I will hopefully get my car back today. Had my harmonic balancer go bad on me. So if you see the yellow vert running around Sanford this weekend be sure to wave!

$150-200 actually sounds about right for a shop to install. I had my Corsa extremes installed for $300 cash. It was during a busy work time of the year so personal install wasn't an option. It was the cheapest price that I could find in my area. I will add that the install was perfect and the tips are completely level.

$150-200 is reasonable. You are holding up their lift for about an hour and most shops are $100+ an hour.

I live in Fayetteville and have a 2008, anyone have recommendations for good installers here? I haven't made my mind up on the exhaust system yet but don't want any "drone" at highway speed.

How do you like the exhaust? Do you get "drone" at cruising speeds? Very interested in hearing your eval of the exhaust!
Thanks, C6 in Fayetteville.

A C5 exhaust is just a little bit more complicated than most. Not a whole lot but 150 seems fair.

RPM might be one of the best LS shops on the east coast. They have done all the work on my car with tuning. Great place.

How did the tune compare with Chuck Cow?

Sorry to respond so late to this thread and I hope you are happy with the install.

The best muffler shop in your area is R & J Mechanical and Welding in Apex. The owner is a fantastic welder and fabricator. Over the years he has done all kinds work for me to numerous vehicles. He's fabricated custom cat back systems as well as installing out of the box systems like the Corsa's on my '07.

The Borlas should sound very sweet on your Corvette.

Ended up going to Henry's Muffler Shop. It's located off of Capital Blvd. near Downtown Raleigh. Nice people and they did a great job on the install.

Paid $150 but most likely could have paid less. Made an appointment at the other location but accidently went to the one off Capital, and when they asked me what I was quoted I said $150.

I would recommend going here though, it didn't take very long and the install was done properly.

Thanks, C6 in Fayetteville.
I love the Borlas! Have had them on for over a year now and I love to hear eacch startup. Best part about them is ZERO drone. I previously had SLP Loudmouths before these, and the drone was unbearable.

If you want to hear them in person, I live in Cary, NC but could meet you halfway between Fayettville sometime.

Went with Henry's Muffler Shop in Raleigh. They did a great job on the install.

As far as the sound, I am a huge fan of the Borlas and am very happy I decided to go with them!
