Found the 2007 I want to buy, except,,
It has everything I am looking for, 28,000 miles, silver with black top convertible, cashmere interior, but does not have navigation. I'm torn between spending that much money and still not getting the exact car I want. It's hard to find that color combo local with that low mileage.
What would you do?

IMO, if you enjoy music that is.
The stock stereo units leave a lot to be desired for those who enjoy feeling the music.
Buy an aftermarket one with NAV, some new speakers and an amp and it will be well worth it.
If you don't care to spend the money on a better sound system with NAV, well it's not a bad thing to be lost when out in a Corvette.

Given the choice, would go with a after market nav unit any day of the week over a OEM nav unit instead. Yes, your would give up Hud radio display with a non OEM unit, but what you get for features with a modern Nav unit, make up for any Hud set backs isntead.

I have NAV in my 13 GS and rarely used it. It is cumbersome to program and takes your attention away from driving trying to use it. I have a I phone 6 and it blows the factory NAV away because its so easy to use. IMHO the NAV would never be a deal breaker for me. 😎

I agree your best bet would be an aftermarket unit with CarPlay/Auto (depending on your bent).
But if you want the factory setup (which is really not that bad, despite most of the comments around here, although there will be no further map updates so it will become less useful over time), it is easy to add assuming the car has Bose to begin with. You can pick up an early model OEM head unit for $200 or so and a late model (with USB) for $400 or so ... it takes 30 minutes to install. The only benefit to the OEM unit (besides being "stock") is the HUD integration. The downside is no CarPlay/Auto, no cameras, and out of date maps. (BTW, I use a late model OEM unit; just full discloser.)
I wouldn't let the nav situation sway you if you really like the car otherwise.

I bought my 2009 vert without nav and I installed a Kenwood. Kenwood uses Garmin and I added a rear backup camera. This unit has Bluetooth, Apple Carplay and many other features. IMO aftermarket units are far superior to GM systems. Kenwood and Pioneer make fine units that integrate into steering wheel controls and fits in the dash like an oem unit.

I looked for 6 months before I purchased mine, and I flew to get it and drove 1250 miles back home. I have no regrets, because I got exactly want I wanted, with all the options that I needed.
Good Luck in your quest

I don’t have Navy in my 07 convertible, I too wanted it, but the color and black top best out the no nav radio, stock radio is pretty primitive compared to what is out there. With the top down, I can’t hear radio and don’t miss it. AM is useless too on my 6 cd stock radio.

You've probably got a better nav unit on your cell phone than that one ever was.

GM navigation is the worst. Chrysler has a much better product.

If it's the car for you, buy it. You can either buy a take off oem nav and install it, or go aftermarket. You could add an aux Input or bluetooth at the time of installing the own nav as well.

How about you buy an aftermarket Nav unit with front and rear back-up cam, phone link capabilities and I'll give you my OEM 10 year old in perfect working condition Nav unit? You'll get something you want and I'll finally get something that can easily be used as it should.

Mt 2007 has nav and it is almost worthless.Tthe phone app is ten times better. Buy the car and put a good aftermarket system. The 2007 factory unit is just not very good by todays standards.
