Default What are these round discs on my frame?

My 06 vert has one of these on top of both sides of the front frame next to the radiator. There is a spring clip that holds them there, they are removable.

They are 1 1/4” d, the bracket there mounted to is welded to the frame. They appear to be a soft metal.

They have something to do with the building process but I'm not sure what.

Could they contain a DATA chip for reading with a scanner similar to the DATA bolt on the engine block?
