I definitely recommend going with ALL OEM parts. You could get aftermarket parts and save a few bucks initially BUT you may end up spending more money at the body shop making everything fit properly IF you can even get that done.
ALL OEM parts and you will be happy when it all gets done.
It is NOT an inexpensive project to do. New wheels and tires alone will run you at least $3000 and just the parts will be another $4000. That doesn't include getting everything painted and installed.
A conversion completely changes the look of your car.

Which widebody version do you want to do?
GS, Z06 or ZR1.
OEM parts would be my first choice and the 'kits' are about the same price except for the front fenders and whether or not you add the ZR1 splitter and skirts. OEM GS is the cheapest.
If you are going to do a ZR1 mod and can't justify the very expensive carbon fiber fenders, then I would recommend the fiberglass aftermarket fenders made by SS-Vette.
Excellent quality and fit. Price was very affordable too.
They also have fiberglass front fender-liner extensions.
I bought my OEM parts from Gene Culley at GMPartsHouse. Great customer service/prices.

What's wrong with RPI's wide body kit they have? I havent read anyone complaining about fitment with their kit... The reason I say that is because I am looking into these options as we speak as well...

What I got now, this is a custom conversion. Don't have more details, but we just had an order for a narrowbody C6 front with widebody Z06 rear wheels. Going to talk to the guys at the company for more detail.

Our parts have an OEM fitment and are made with epoxy / fiberglass twill cloth reinforcement. Far superior to most fiberglass parts on the market. Much lighter than OEM, and stronger. Oh yeah, and much wider!

When you say wide body are you wanting to do both fron and rear or just the rear?
I would suggest that you look at the GM parts first and also look at RPI Design. They will send you the parts already painted to match and they are normally spot on and if not Josh stands behind his products. They do all the painting in house.
