Thanks everybody for the information and compliments. I was wondering production numbers because I have the original bill of sale paperwork with it and it was sold for $68,316 in 2005 which seems like all the options listed on the window sticker is pretty much all Chevy had to offer.
Thanks for the maintenance tips too!.

That's interesting...back in 2010 I bought my '05 with 10.5K miles on it. I got a copy of the window sticker from the NCM, it showed my car listed (MSRP) right around $56K. My car is an A4, Z51, 2 tops, HUD, Navi, XM, polished wheels (looks like the same as yours), heated/ventilated seats, I'm wondering what other options your car has to justify the $12K price difference. I know it's a vert but I don't think that was a $12K premium. I thought my car was pretty much optioned out, maybe not, what else does your car have? And good luck with the new car, you're gonna love it!

Just wondering, my car is #31,537, towards the end of the run. I'm wondering if they LOWERED the base price somewhere through the model year. I could understand $2-3K more for the Vert but not much more...

Your VIN indicates your car was in the middle of the model run, they made a little over 37K '05 Corvettes and your number is 18,803, about the middle. What confuses me is your base price, $51,445. I just dug out my sticker, my base price (Standard Vehicle Price) was $43,710, a huge difference (almost $8K) from my Coupe to your Convertible. My options totaled $11,370 so we're close there but a big difference in the base price, I wonder why. Destination charges were $800, my Total Vehicle Price was $55,880...hmmmm! Maybe someone else has some ideas...

Standard Price $43,445.00
Options $9,570.00
Destination $800
Total $53,815.00

And the dual roof option is listed as $1400 on my sticker bringing you right up to about $55,200, we're close. But again your Standard Price is $265 less than mine, I wonder why. My car was originally delivered to a dealer in Albany, Georgia and eventually found it's way up to NY where the original owner purchased it, I wonder if prices (even MSRP prices) varied by region or area?

[QUOTE=EVRose;1597103377]It's possible I suppose. Mine went to a dealer in Blanchard, OK.
My standard price is $43,710, the preferred group is the same $4360, the Z51 package is $1695 (+$200), the navi option is $1600 (+$200), dual roof $1400, everything else (wheels, on-star, XM) is the same. I guess either regional or a price increase somewhere in the model year. What I don't understand is the OP's car having a base of $51,445, that's a BIG difference over our base non-vert cars.

It sounds like a 1SB, Z51. The convertible option (especially the power version) bumped the price up quite a bit. Mine was almost that much MSRP w/o the Z51. I'll have to look at the sticker when I get home.

Congrats...get ready to take some abuse for having an 05. For some reason some people think the 05's were not good cars. Probably because it was the 1st model year for the C6, but the 05s are great cars. One thing that makes them great is the steering wheel. Its not a leftover Chevy Cobalt wheel, but a distinctive wheel with the Vette logo. Some people also knock the LS2 motor and prefer the LS3, but 400HP is plenty to get you in trouble. Another thing to check out is the harmonic balancer. Even with that low of mileage it could be going bad. Good luck!

O.K., I just checked the Corvette Black Book, 2005 base Corvette Coupe Retail $44,245, base Corvette Convertible Retail $52,245, $8,000, damn, that's a BIG difference. I looked at the 2010's, the last year of the Black Book that I have, the difference had shrunk to $4650...

Yes, I looked in the Black Book, first year Gen 6 there was an $8,000 difference from the Vert to the Coupe, that's why your MSRP was so much higher than the Coupe. Good luck with your new beauty, enjoy!
