Nice day Sunday. A few photos here in the mountains
The trees are finally getting green after a long winter. Just a perfect day (except for the pollen) for a local ride here in western NC. The actual location is called Winding Stairs Gap on 64 west of Franklin. About an hour from the Blue Ridge Pkwy and Great Smoky Mountains National Park (by the way we saw a bear along the road a few weeks ago).

Nice. Wife and I were in Highlands NC about 3 weeks ago. That part of Hwy 64 is a lot of fun in a vette.

Enjoyed your pictures . I just got my first Corvette last month . I have been seeing a lot of pictures like yours , and others down your way . It is on my bucket list to visit that area and the Blue Ridge Parkway . So far I have been content driving the state routes around here that I have never been on , or it has been a long time . Thanks again for you pictures .

There's nothing like a ride through the Great Smokey Mountains. I know I'm biased, but it's beautiful any time of the year. God's country as we say here in the south. Looks like a great ride Dave, and a great way to enjoy that beauty.

No zoom, we were actually that close IN the car. He was actually very close to the road, like a few feet. We think he just came out of hibernation and was a bit dazed.

Beautiful car and beautiful part of the state, great pics. Will be there later this summer / fall. If you ever get over here on the coast there's plenty of great places to explore (a little flatter)... but some incredible places. Like two different states but equally awesome!
