2008 z06 5 owners. Is it worth it?

5 owners isn' that many. People buy vetted on i.pulaes then realize that it doesn' for their lifestyle or budget. I didn't look at the car at all, but I wouldn't let the owners worry me.

Note: Vin number is not listed for the car in the add that I can find, so sending red flags up to begin with.

I don't take amount of owners into consideration as much as most people. Corvettes are usually purchased and resold to other people that take care of them. Many realize 2 seats wont work with their life style or move on to a different Corvette model or different type of car. No big deal!

I'm with Dano; no vin, something fishy. BESIDES the 5 prior owners.
Alert! Do your homework. VIN; carfax;, autocheck;, GMVIS;, valvetrain;, up on lift for Corv. tech to look it over; ck for flood car.
BTW, for the guys who say 5 isn't bad---question: ever see a person who knows they can't hold onto the car for long, before the repo man comes for it (or his equivalent, a quick or forced sale)? If you haven't I can say a long time ago I used to go on rides with a repo man. Interesting to see what happened to those cars before they were gotten rid of, one way or the other. Not always, but enough.

08Z owner here. My 08Z had 23K and paid $36.7K last year, one owner. Price seems prices for a quick sale, not sure how I feel about the 5 owners as there are plenty one to two owner Z06's available. Best bet would be to pull the Vin and start there. Picture looks clean but, doesn't show much detail. Being that low in price would make me suspicious, so I would proceed with caution. If you are interested consider having a nearby GM dealership do a used car inspection, it will run you about $120, I did this to mine before buying it. They will measure brake pads, rotors, tire tread, check all fluids, battery and charging system to name a few. Well worth every penny, if you are lucky they will pull Vin for you and you can see the history maintenance report like they did for me.

Seems reasonably priced. I am sure you can get the vin from the seller. It does't seem fishy to me that it is not posted, but if they won't give it to you then that is fishy. Mileage, while not bad, is influencing the price as many can be had with lower mileage. This one has some mods, and seller may not even be aware of all of them since it is a dealer. Heads may not have been addressed.

Many times dealers show up as owners on carfax so in reality it may be fewer. I picked up my 19K mile red Z last year showing 5 owners when in reality it was 2.

I wouldn't care at all and I never understood the fascination.
I owner that takes poor care of a vehicle.
OR
5 owners that all cherish that car, or even just 2 out of the 5 is still better than option 1.
I'm the 4th owner of my '08. The middle 2 guys combined did less than 1K miles. It's like, who cares?

5 owners wouldn't bother me but I'd check the service history with a GM dealer.

My 2010 (non zo6) that I purchased last year had 5 previous owners. Carfax was clean, no accidents, serviced correctly, no pitting on the headlights, and not a single scratch on her. Do your due diligence and you should be fine. Vettes are pretty much impulse buys for the average Joe. After a few months most owners feel they aren't practical enough and get rid of them.

Here is the big one to remember with vets, they are not cheap to maintain, and find that a lot of cars with many owners are ones that more than one person got in over their head to begin with.
So even with a car fax and GM service history report to see what has been reported on the car at that point, you still need to take the car to an independent shop to have them take a good look at the car, and find the problems that other owners may not have fixed (correctly) to start with.
Also, with the amount of flood damage cars that are being sold with skip clear titles that such may not show up on the title to begin with (before you get a title on the car in your name), really need to run the Vin with your insurance company to make sure it not a flood/salvage/rebuilt car as well.

You are 100 percent correct. I remember seeing a laundry list of items that the dealer had to address before selling me mine. Everything from shocks to struts to latches, extra fobs and even new tires all add up when previous owners cant stay on top of things. Great Point!
