Default Pilot tires

Go to Michelin web site. Each variation of Pilot tire has different warranty.

Hmmm, definitely should not have cracks in them. Post up a few pics. The warranty may not be much help. Our cars are staggered fitment sooo the warranty is half of what would be advertised if u read the small print.

Should have treadware and material defect warranty to original owner. Check with Michelin at their website.

The M PS2 tire comes with a 20K miles thread life warranty, but on the vet, that gets knocked in half.

* Mileage Warranty Exceptions
Split fitments - If your vehicle has tires of different sizes on the front versus the rear axles, your tires cannot be rotated as recommended. Therefore, the mileage warranty on each rear tire will cover half the number of miles as the standard mileage warranty for that particular tire line.

As for years warranty on the tires, it's only last 6 years from date of purchase.
https://md.proty.re/u/8481782/michel...6_REV_1217.pdf

So if the tires are under 6 years old from the date of purchase, and since they only have 7457 miles on them, the cracking problem should be covered under the tread life warranty.

Hence new tires will be pro rated by the amount of tread wear on the old tires, and cost to replace the tires on the car, such as balancing, will not be covered by Michelin since they only cover that for 3 years; but may be covered under life time road hazard warranty from the shop he original bought the tires from, if such was part of the install option package isntead.

Now stating the above, Michelin can still weasel out of replacing the tires. Hence unless you can prove that you did not run the summer sport tires in temps lower than 40 Fahrenheit, but instead where running winter A/S tires in such colder temps, then it opens a back door for them to back out of the warrenty instead.

Buried deep in the warranty notes.
Flexing of the specialized rubber compounds used in Max Performance Summer tires during cold-weather use can result in irreversible compound cracking. Compound cracking is not a warrantable condition because it occurs as the result of improper use or storage, tires exhibiting compound cracking must be replaced.
I bring this up with the OPT is from Canada, and driving the car with the summer performace tires on it from Nov through April would be a no-no, since the temps were below 40* in his location isntead.

Just keep in mind that the Super cups are a softer tire, will cold crack even faster, and have no warranty.
So really, out of the firing pan, and into the fire in your case.

Truth is, since Michelin will only warranty the tires once (even on the replacement) would had see if the dealer had another brand of tires that could apply the credit to, to start a brand new warranty with someone else. Hence even if you did get PS4's as the replacement tires, you may still on the old SS warranty with the new tires, and not a brand new warranty/period with them isntead.
