Default Cringe worthy

At work today , I have a nice view of the car wash right next door. Lots of nice cars go through. Anyhow..

see this newer c7 vette come out and the guy gets out and starts drying off his new corvette with paper towels 😲 At first I thought maybe it was just the glass but no, he was doing the whole car. I died a little inside. Someone please help him.

Oh yeah, Happy Mother’s Day everyone

Unless it's a no touch car wash, it's not too smart to take any car through any car wash where the brushes beat the paint to death with whatever is left on it from the last vehicle. Then again I've seen people wax their car in the sun or never wax their car at all. O.k, if you drive something embarrassing like a Toyota Camry or a mini-van I guess.

At least it wasn't burlap bags...

I worked at a gas station/car wash in my teens and never saw that before!

To each his own!

Actually, I'm not embarrassed at all to drive my 2015 Camry XSE. It provided a better cost/benefit than anything comparable from Chevy, Ford, or Honda in my view. Why would I be embarrassed about it?

VERY sad. Some people just really don't care. One of my neighbors drives his C7 through the winter here in Michigan. He doesn't care if it's covered in salt or not.

Not too long ago I saw a young lady "scrubbing" down her new, with paper tag, black Jag XF with one of the brushes in a coin operated car wash. It looked like she was scrubbing the floor. I can just think of the landscaper who used that same to brush to clean the mud off his trucks wheels. I couldn't even watch, just too sad.

I cringe at the thought of the Vette going through the car wash itself, let alone the paper towel thing.

My oldest son, who just turned 30 a few days ago, use to use paper towels to dry the car when he was young, until I caught him! Also caught him using bath towels to dry off the new lawn mower way back when. Might I say he was a difficult child, but turned out great, finally!
