I went to the local recaro distributor. I told him what you are discussing.

The manager of the store directed me to a specific seat. I sat in the seat and with a 32/33 inch waist it was tight...

I was ok with it but anyone of a larger waist just make sure you sit in the seat before purchasing...and be aware the purchase could make resale of your car would be tough to anyone with a waist larger than 33 inches.

I don’t believe anyone with a waist 34 or larger would be happy.

I don't think the size of your waist makes that much difference in how well you fit in a seat. It's mostly your height.

I've sat in several of the aftermarket seats, and they were very snug at 34 waist. Anything more than that and I wouldn't have fit.
