I have friends and family in WV. Depending on where the car is located I may be able to get someone to help you out. You can PM me if you'd prefer not to give up the location of the car here so someone doesn't swoop in and 'steal your deal'.

I travelled from Washington to Mississippi to buy my "had to have"...a silver '05 convertible, 6spd with Z51. I travelled from Washington to Wisconsin to buy my next "had to have"...a blue '11 GS convertible, 6spd. The fun was in the drive home.

I have the service history and the one concern I have is that there are no oil changes that showed up except for the one the selling dealer did recently. I assume GM recommends a low mileage oil change every 2 years? This is a one owner car with less than 16k miles - so either the owner changed it himself or went to a non-GM place or he didn't change it!

I would have come up with the same conclusion!

easy enough to visually check if oil changes may not have occurred...

if he went longer duration on mileage and time, you may be able to see slight "sludge" build-up if you look at the inside of the oil fill cap...…..

with your price range, I am assuming no LS7 or dry sump oil system

also, if he went to an independent repair facility, it would not show up on a GM VIS report or possibly even not on a Carfax report

Negative (or lack of) reporting means nothing.
