I do the ranger method & now use Prestone Dot 4 on the bottle it states that it is safe to mix with any 3 or 4 dot fluid, I have not had any issues mixing the two

Default Changing Clutch Fluid

Hey GARYFINN...what's the reason for using only Dot 4 fluid? I thought the only difference between 3 and 4 was boiling point. Thanks.

The reason I use DOT4 is the manual calls for it.

Me too. I guess us old folks have learned it's best to read the manual. There would be far fewer questions asked if others did also.
