Yes, you can pull one notch of E Brake and with Windows already down, push the down or up button. But only at 10 mph or slower. It's a big wing in the vertical position. E Brake will chime the whole time as well. This is for a C6.
You should look up the price of a top frame first, ouch!

What is the interest in starting a sticky thread for C6 convertibles?
Spent the last six months looking for a Monterey Red Metallic Convertible. At last one showed up and we drove 2 hours south to pick it up. In three weeks we have already logged 800 miles cruising central Florida. Here is Tweetie, also known as Miss Earnhardt, for her heavy accelerator foot, at Lake Sumter Landing. Somehow we always end up at a seafood restaurant. Here is a video of the boys of The Villages Corvette Club converging on Lake Sumter Landing for a Vette show. Nothing like a 'vert on the Tail of the Dragon & Cherohala Skyway. We did the loop yesterday (Tuesday) on a beautiful day. Extremely quiet from 10:00 - 11:00 and probably the least amount of cars we have ever seen outside of the off-season. No idea why. It was sweet! We could even take photos by the statue. Still have to order the professional photos from the Dragon run.
Saw this post in C6 general and it has the replacement part for repair as well as a DIY option to help. This sticky is a great place for this type of info.
