Thanks Erik! Great innovation! I wonder if I put heat shrink around the whole spring if it would change thesprinh compression? I’ll give it a try. Going to Ace Hardware! Love the American ingenuity spirit!

Then I realized I did not 'want' any of the new cars. I had bought my first Corvette, a 66 convertible, when it was 26 months old. I was 18 and it was great! Then I got accepted at Oakland University in Michigan so I sold the Vette and bought a VW microbus. I always regretted the necessity. When I bought my 2nd Vette, it was when I was a sales person living in Singapore. I made too much money to turn down a $15000 Vette in a showroom window. I bought it, put it in a storage container. 6 months later I returned to Los Angeles with a 20 year old Corvette. Marriage and another overseas assignment took that one from me. I will keep my new one.

I just changed to Continental DWS year round and they work fine all the time. If there is lots of snow, I slip the clutch. Everything works fine.

Best, Peter
The 66 Vette is one of my favorite years for Vette. Sorry to hear you had to sell first AND second ones. So what year is your new one?

2006 Red base model. It was far less money than a new WRX and far, far more all-around fun.

Did the forum administrators just add the “Like” buttons under all posts just recently or had I been spacing out and didn’t notice this before?
I’ve always thought there should be a “Like” button on posts instead of having to respond in a quote as the only way that you liked a persons vert or post.

Just when we thought the roads were getting clean of snow, sand, & salt, then this happened @8:15am today...UGH! And thus is why we don’t put our verts on the road until around Memorial Day weekend. Hoping earlier in May this year. Have road trip planned mid-May to Columbus, Ohio.

I feel your pain......

Yesterday, it was dry and the driveway was firm enough to take it out for a spin....

Today, it's a different world, winter has returned.... for another week or so..

YUCK! It was the same with us...spots of snow left by Wednesday, able to do yard work, then BAM...3 of heavy slushy snow Thursday. But at least we receiving rain for a couple of days, unlike Wisconsin. Soon the snow will be an after thought.
