Default Achilles tires & federal tires?

I have a thread started in the C5 section and curious if anyone in the c6 section heard and or use these brands.

They're cheap junk. But sometimes that' what you want. I have them for burnout and general mayhem tires for my c4. Not a lot of grip, but that was the idea for me.

I had Achilles tires (I think they were ATR Sport) on my 335i because they came with the wheels I bought from someone. They were pretty crappy. They were noisy and had no wet traction. If you're looking for tires on the lower cost side, check out the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500. Walmart has them for the cheapest I've seen and places like Discount Tire will price match.

The Federal 595RS-R and 595RS-RR are a good track tire, especially for the cost.
The regular street 595 and 595Evo aren't that great of a tire, and I've seen them with sidewall bulges on numerous occasions.

Those are the only ones I can speak to and have had first hand experience with.

they are black tires that hold air.....thats it

hard, low grip, etc etc

great for drifting on , look up "Dirk Stratton" and the driftvette

I once ran off-brand tires on a Mustang I owned. Had absolutely no issues with the tires and they far exceeded my expectations. The brand was Wanli. Not sure if it is still around.
