Default Another Small Project Completed

A couple of weeks back I wrapped the door button bezels; today I decided to try and tackle the window button bezels. Do to how they are shaped, turned out to be a little more difficult, especially the smaller passenger side one. but I manage to get them done. Took two attempts to get the driver's side one right; three to get the passenger side one. Not perfect, but I think the turned out pretty good and look much nicer.

You didn't have enough beers....
Looks good. I'm afraid I would crack something, break it, destroy, I almost know my limitations..

if I want to get frustrated I try **** like this....if I wrapped it I can guarantee you it would have a wrinkle....I suck at stuff like this and it drives me crazy

I need to replace my headlight lenses, I have had the new ones for over a year, that should tell you something. I am waiting for a day when its just me in the house

Interesting, I found the drivers side to be much more difficult than the passenger side. I wonder what's different about our approach.

Great job!

Very nice!! Years ago when this stuff first came out I was practicing on a bunch of stuff like light switch covers and random useless crap. I totally forgot about it! This looks really subtle and nice. May have to try it in the near future.

I also started on relatively small, flat stuff, to include the light switch in my garage and have been slowly moving to more complicated pieces. You should give it a try. The nice thing about the door bezels is they pop in and out relatively easily and they are small. Additionally, if you can't get them the way you want, you can simply rip the wrap off and pop them back in; but if they turn out, which I'm sure they will, they do make a very subtle, but nice difference

Haha nice to hear I wasn’t the only one that started on simple pieces like that! Glad to hear they pop in and out easily (I just bought my first Z a couple weeks ago so I’m new to the car). I’ll have to give this a try because it’s a nice subtle upgrade for sure.

Any specific place you recommend buying the wrap from?

The last couple of times I've ordered the VVIVID XPO Black Carbon Fiber 5' X 1' wrap from Amazon; I actually like their pattern better then the 3M and, IMO, the quality is just as good. Costs just under $10, gives you plenty to 'play with' on small projects and, if you totally mess up, you're not out a lot

Looks great.

I've been thinking about doing some wrapping on the interior. But with my skills, I'd most likely mess up something good. I'm considering Hyrdodipping
