air dam replacement
here to offer my apologies in reference to a past post.
I've had to replace the drivers side air dam, several times over the last few months. when I lost the first one, I checked to the attachment points, and found two of the three connecters still in place.
these were the push pins, like the ones used on the access panel for the headlight bulbs. so with the installation of the new air dam section, I used the same pins.
( previous replies to this, was meet with people telling me that theirs were attached with screws. )
only to have lose this piece again.
and again.
when I ordered the next replacement, It came with both sides.
when I replaced the drivers side with the pins, it did appear to be not as secure as I would like.
at this point, I decided to replace the passenger section ( as it was still the original, but now very ratty looking. 131k miles! )
it was then that I discovered it being held in place with screws!
not a big deal I realize, but felt like I needed to offer my findings?
( f.w.i.w. - the pins do offer a short term fix, but will eventually fail )
