key fob stuck in recepticle in glove box
#21
I stuck my finger in there and it is not a "blank space" at all. I stuck my fob in there today as well, but didn't encounter any sticking. I've done that before ( I actually had to do that years ago when I couldn't get my fob battery back in) but never really paid attention to what was going on.
The equivalent space on my C7 is just a blank box. Not sure when this changed (if it did on the C6 gen at all). I never stuck my finger into the slot on my Z06.
It never occurred to me to do so before this.
Learn something new every day, and I'm glad you retrieved your fob w/o any damage.

Haven't heard of this before. The only possibility I can think of is one of the buttons is getting hung on something (although I don't know what that could be). Try sliding something like a small putty knife or butter knife down the side the buttons are on to depress them and see if that frees it up. Good luck.

I use the cars auto lock feature so I dont have to use my FOB to lock. Also with FOB in pocket I just open my car door when I get to it. I dont think either way is sending a signal out my FOB is it?
