I got the same ones last summer at Discount Tire. So far so good. I haven’t been out in the rain, but they’re great in the Texas heat!
Op, did you check your DOT’s? I think maybe Hankook offers the sales and rebates when they’ve got surplus stock needing to be sold. My tires were already a year old when I bought them. They have DOT’s of 3216 and 5016. Otherwise all is fine with them!

Hankooks were my first choice in tires but since I decided to upgrade to new 19 and 20” wheels I couldn’t find them in that size.

Guess I'll have to search for the CONTINENTAL Extreme Contact Sport thread
as I was leaning toward them, whenever I need to replace my current MICHELIN
Pilot Sports ??????????

I wasn’t too bothered by my one year old “new tires”, but two years old might bother me. My tires will never be worn out as I don’t drive that much. They’ll “age out” first. Your case may differ, but your 3316 and 3617’s kinda support my theory.

They’re still good tires though. Best of luck.

I'm curious how you paid $960 and the website wants to charge me $692 for all tires?

Good info to know

I have Dry Wet Snow (DWS) All Season Mud n Snow Continentals which work great in wet weather.

There is another version Dry Wet (DW) which is the performance version.

There is a newer version but I cannot remember code name on that one.

I don't understand how you are getting these prices.

I just went to the Discount Tire Direct website, and a set of Hankook Ventus V12 EVO 2 (K120) tires in the Z06 / GS size cost $844 to the door (shipping is free).

With the Hankook $50 rebate now in effect, that would make the final total cost $794

Idk. if you guys can get em for under $900 I’d jump on it! so far after a couple hundred miles I’m happier than **** w/mine. pretty sure they’ll be just fine if I get caught in the rain too...

So, maybe because it's the Z51 not the Z06 there's such a difference in price.

Is it true they're not great in the rain?
What about the Eagle F1 Supercar or Continental Extreme Contact Sport?

The Conti's are good in the rain and probably the best all around tire that isn't Michelin for these cars. I was thinking the F1 Supercar was not that good in the rain, maybe average, I'm sure tire rack has a comparison and maybe they've updated the Goodyear since last I looked.

I can confirm that Hankook Ventus Evo tires are good in rain, because that is what i have on my '08. (Came with them when I bought the 'Vette last year. )

Sure, that's the difference in price.

I thought all along we were talking about the Z06 / GS sized Hankook tires.

Another step back was the Ventus V12 evo2, which had good initial steering response but lacked the ultimate traction to match the pace or composure of the others.
The Hankooks are fine in the rain at least when new.

Are you supposed to replace the TPMS module when you change tires?
