I don’t think there’s anyone here “worried” about auto renew. It happens and but there’s noting to get over.

Hell I'd be very happy paying $5 a month ($60 a year) for a subscription...

With the licensing fee it's $3.28 a month, not $2.75 a month. That's if it's $18.91 for all 3 years, which I doubt. More likely, LF is $56.73 for all 3 years. And what about the taxes? Thanks for letting us know about the offer. Will try to get it when my 2 cars are both up for renewal soon. Otherwise, cancelling because music selection is limited & they got rid of channel 30, The Loft, & keep changing it to music I don't like.

My original post included the $18.91 fee. I didn't add that in my monthly total because the fee is a one time charge, not a yearly charge. No tax. The amount of $117.91 (99.00 + 18.91) was charged to my card.

It's funny how I never get XM offers on my two Ford's, only my Corvette.

I did just get two months free XM on our Fiesta because I had new tires installed at Sears.

Update: Just now I received two months free XM for my Corvette. I had the oil, Rear end and manual tranny lube replaced last week. I only drive it a couple times a month for an hour or two, so I really have no use for XM.

Wow! Never would have figured that. Free's free! Kind of reminds me of the "I stayed at a Holiday Inn" commercial.

I would love to subscribe to Sirius but my 2005 only has the base model stereo and the speakers do not have "BOSE" brand name on them.

Any reasonable alternative to do some type of upgrade this is not costly to get Sirius?

I can't stand all the commercials on radio stations along with poor reception and I don't use CD player in unit much.

You can always convert to a newer radio which is XM capable. I’ve got XM in every vehicle I own and never listen to anything but XM. I love it . The cheapest I’ve found is the $30 + fees for 6 months.

I tried XM, but they just repeat the same songs over and over. You will hear the same song a couple times a day, and hear it practically everyday. I saw no value in it so I put 8G of music on a 16 Gb thumb drive, and never hear the same song twice over a couple months.

I'm looking forward to getting this promotion, last I've gotten was the $60 a year. I'm all in for the three years deal,,,,WITH A WAL MART VISA CARD, great idea, THANK YOU. I have an after market radio now, curious to see if they will honour deal, probably not as that radio could be in any car. We will see I guess. Mine is an 08 with in active status.

Best I could get is $28 for 6 months. After that they said it will renew at $118/6 months. Unless I call them again.

I don’t drive my car enough to justify paying for satellite radio even at that rate. The traffic has gotten so bad where I live the last couple of years that I rarely drive my C6.

I have a CD player in mine. Somehow my car runs so much better when I crank up Lady Gaga doing "Edge of Glory".

You mean have a new headunit installed with the shark antenna?

I thought you can select the kinds of music and songs/artists you would like to listen to.
i.e. 60's, 70's or 80's etc.

I picked a few genres or channels, like smooth jazz, and I hear the same songs as if it was a limited library played on a loop. I pick another channel and it is the same thing. After my trial period ended, I had no desire to pay for something like that. There are thousands and thousands of artists and songs, so it makes no sense you would hear the same songs when they only play a hundred or so in 24 hours. That is my experience with XM radio.

I put a aftermarket Pioneer nav unit w/xm in one of my work vehicles a few years ago and can't remember where the anttena was located but the price was around $8-900 installed. The factory XM anttena is in some strange places that can't be seen.
