Why are C7 snobs?

I let Prius', 2500's, Camrys, etc etc. Go and never get any recognition for it, what's that got to do with it being a Mustang? Douche's are Douche's regardless of the brand.

As a new member of corvette ownership one of the first things I picked up on, if you want to bring different vette gen owners together on a topic or deflect/diffuse an argument.....just bring up the C4....😂😂

My '72, POS that it was, at least it looked sexy . . . and still does. The styling was timeless -- as is the C6:

Well...what it has to do with mustangs is it appears for me personally for the most part they’re little racer boy jerks. Does that clear it up for you?

Yeah, you
I get waves from all gens, and as a hardcore gear head I give thumbs up to any car that I think is cool. Mustangs, Camaros, Evos, Subies, Ferraris, Lambos etc. Some of my friends were the dudes at shows that were called snobs by other attendees and the first time I met knew them not beyond a hand shake and tossed me the keys to their GTR, Scud, Massi etc. To drive.
You don't know the person and you aren't entitled to a wave either. I only hear one snob here.

Never had a fellow Corvette owner not acknowledge a wave. From my original '77 to my current '16 Z06.

I sure have had my share of waves from C7 owners, even when I had my 1996 C4. No problems with Corvette owners at all.
When I had an air cooled 1996 911 I ran into this snobbery but it was geographic for some reason. The Atlanta Porsche owners were the nicest most welcoming owners I have ever encountered. I won trophies at their shows and the help they offered was unreal. Right here in NC, mostly the Asheville area, they snubbed their noses at us. Not all of course, but some barely would speak to us at some events. I don't have the slightest idea why to this day.

You may be on to something with this geographic thing and it may be related to money clustered in a particular area. I have a C2 and have yet to have a C7 owner wave back while in my home town (maybe they don’t know it’s a Vette). There is one area in the town where the people have significant disposable income. At Cars and Coffee on Saturday morning it was a line of Ferrari’s, newer Vettes, a McLaren and a Lambo plus the various Porsches and Bimmers from out of this area. Seems to me that a lot of the new Vette owners in this area have bought a Vette because they have money and don’t really love the car or history. They don't seem to belong to a Corvette club because the 3 biggest clubs in the area were there parked together and these guys were scattered through the parking area.

No, it means you're an American. Years ago in a spy flick I was watching the way they caught the American spy was when he switched hands after cutting his food. Can't remember the movie. But, in the end he escaped and saved the world just like all good spy flicks.

Here's the funny thing about cars. Ours, theirs, your friends, their moms. They all depreciate. They will all become an "older model" some day. Who cares. Enjoy what you have. I personally don't like the 7's anyway.

I've had a lot of issues in my life (personal & medical)......
I'm good in my own skin & know who I am & what I want in life...
I wave, if they don't, it is really their problem not mine..........
So, I will just go on down the road in my '01 Z06 & be glad I have it.

The C7 attracted a different kind of Corvette buyer. Some of them are car guys that always liked Corvettes and came from previous generation Corvettes. But some of the C7 guys are first time Corvette buyers and were never a fan of the older generation Corvette. To them the C7 is just a car to have for a little while before they move on. They don't understand or are oblivious to Corvette, classic car, or muscle car culture.

I've owned many generations of Corvettes, including C4's, I'm old! I've always waved, and look for the wave. If you get it, you get it.
I will say, I get much more attention than in the past, with the ZR1!
Particularly bikers, a lot of them seem to get it, mostly Harleys.

wave
I also wave to every 'vette I see. my way of thanking the older versions for paving the way for me. also acknowledging the newer ones for maintaining the tradition.
instead of a wave, I display a peace sign ( "V" as in 'vette ).
I figure about 75%-80% success rate on return acknowledgment.
