Outdoor car cover
So tomorrow I will take possession of my new to me 2013 C6 convertible. It will be my daily driver so I am looking for a cover while at work. She will stay in my carport while at home. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Tim

the problem with outdoor car covers is that unless your car is spotless clean, if the wind blows and the cover moves around, even a little bit, that dirt acts like sandpaper and can mess up your paint.

As many will say car covers cause scratched etc...I have always covered my cars, both indoors and outdoor cars,, have a 91 Buick that has been an outdoor car most of it's life, covered 90% of the time and it has preserved the car well. The interior still looks new and the paint is in good condition . As long as you clean the car regularly the cover will do more good than harm! I have always used a high quality cover, always from California car cover.

And they are custom made for each car and fit like a OJ simpson glove, nice and tight! Just my experience with covers...

I bought a CoverKing from the Costco website a few years ago. I wanted sun protection more than anything else, and I've been pleased with it. You do need to keep your car super clean to avoid scratching, as others have said. And, it protects the car from all the leaves and assorted debris from trees.
My thought, covering your car while at work might amuse your co-workers ...

Covering the car can be a double edge sword, can make some people so courious as to what's under there, but I think the majority will think don't dare mess with that... That's what I would...I wouldn't walk near a covered car, its obvious some one cares about their car when its covered

Thank you for the information about your car cover. I just ordered mine from Costco also.
