[SIZE="5"]Brand new from Radioflyer Innovations: The Morimoto C6 Bi-LED headlights. This system features a Dual-Function LED projector that provides both low and high beam patterns. Turn signals are a sequential type Amber LED and White "L" type LED DRL that mimics the look of the C7 corvette.

These lights are completely plug-and-play with factory-type connectors and hardware. Lens is a UV-treated polycarbonate lens just like the OEM headlights.

These lights are DOT/SAE approved and meet FMVSS108 regulations when aimed properly using the integrated vertical/lateral adjusters.

Are the LED fogs guaranteed to be color matched to the headlight LED color temp?

Thanks! Answered a lot of my questions (DOT marks, connectors, etc.).

How do the low beams (pattern, brightness) compare to the stock units?

How do the high beams compare (hopefully much better!).

Thanks again.

According to the MFG, they are brighter and have a more usable light pattern than the factory lights.

What is the life of the bulbs? How hard is it to replace a bulb if one goes out? The housing looks like it is made of a reflector material so I guess no painted housing like factory? I like them but will probably have to see what one looks like on a car.

These look great! If compared to the lens replacement only for an OEM headlight assembly the price is pretty reasonable.

I bought a pair of plug and play DRLs from these guys that are full time white when on and change to alternating amber for the turn signal. I am very happy with them and if these lights are anything like those I think you'll be happy with them!

Lifespan of LEDs is the longest of any type of light source. The die-case aluminum heat sink provides ample cooling.

Warranty is 5 years on these lights. (that's longer than some HID bulbs last)

LED bulbs only. (they do have a substantial increase in performance)

I do have to charge for shipping mostly because international orders would be substantially more expensive and the current website doesn't discern the difference.

Do you have any pics installed on a vehicle yet?

These look awesome along with a great price... but definitely have to see a bunch of pictures to see how I feel as headlights often tend to be hit or miss once they're installed.

First Unit in Testing. NOTE: This is a one-of-a-kind Variant direct from the factory in Taiwan with a "CLEAR" Lens. The Factory states all other versions being made have a "smoked" lens. Exactly what this means I'm not sure of yet as I have not been able to determine s difference from the pictures.

Disclaimer: Sadly, I did not have access to a C6 with OEM headlight bulbs. The photos and data here are in comparison to the Radioflyer D2S 55w HID/LED high beam Conversion using factory lenses and projectors from a 06. (The lenses have seen a fair amount of "road blasting" so there is a bit more glare due to distortion from the pattern, but otherwise, I consider this a reasonable comparison. For all tests, I disabled one headlight on the car and powered the LED headlight with an external power source. Lux data was provided by a tripod mounted Morimoto's "Motometer" Unfortunately, My DSLR ran out of batteries so many of the photos are from my HTC ONE M9 (which came out pretty nice actually)

The first thing I noticed is that the LED projector has a VERY bright but very small central hot-spot in the pattern. It's excellent for long-range vision, but fades very quickly into a lower intensity relatively uniform pattern with excellent width. From what little information I could gather, Each LED headlight produces roughly 2200 Raw lumens. (This compares to the 3400 Lumens produced by the D2S 55w Kit in the comparison)

DESCRIPTION OF PHOTO IS UNDER THE DESCRIBED PHOTO

LED low beam @ 30 ft Center: 3519 Lux 12" off center: 673 Lux

LED High beam, @ 30 ft No change in Intensity (single bulb with moving cutoff shield)

D2S Low beam @ 30 ft: 922 +/- 50 Lux over substantial width.

D2S w/ LED high beam @ 30 ft 1514 Lux over substantial width and height

LED Low beam

LED High beam

D2S Low beam

D2S + LED high beam

LED low beam from Drivers seat

LED high beam from Driver's Seat

D2S from Driver's Seat

D2S + LED high beam from Driver's seat

LED low beam @ 1 ft Center 15.0K Lux

D2S Low beam @ 1 ft Center: 36.6K Lux

Further tests:

LED Headlight Centered @ 5ft = 4,000 Lux
LED Headlights Off-center @ 5ft = 2,087 Lux
No change in high beam since there is no additional light, only pattern change.

D2S Low beam @ 5 ft = 2966 Lux
D2S + LED high beam @ 5 ft = 4,200 Lux

Conclusions:
LED optics and luminosity have come a long way, but still lack the overall power of HID systems in a one-on-one projector comparison. These headlights make up for the lower output with an ingenious combination of long-range illumination with excellent range and width. The down side is on pitch-black highways and roads, objects that are not directly in front of you or close and to the sides will less visible compared to factory headlights. This gap could likely be made up for with our new LED fog lights that will provide effective width illumination. I will be mounting these new lights on the test vehicle tomorrow along with a set of our LED fog light upgrade bulbs for on-road testing. (The DSLR will be charged by then)
